This was a scene which happened long ago on my way home from grade school. It was a cold December night after a snowfall. My route home took me through this churchyard. I stopped to take in the still beauty in the midst of the city and I could hear the organ and choir inside practicing their Christmas music. That was just over fifty years ago and I still remember that moment whenever I walk past St. Mark's.
